JATO Programs for Pilots

TRAINING

JATO Aviation's training programs bring the best techniques from professional cockpits to our pilots. JATO training features three core programs that provide aviators the education and experience required to safely fly today’s technically advanced aircraft and very light jets. These programs are designed to help pilots master advanced avionics, strengthen piloting skills, and provide a transition to turbine aircraft.

Training programs are built from a library of modules and are tailored to meet each pilot’s specific needs. This unique approach allows JATO to provide customized training not found in traditional training programs.

Training programs include:

  • Private pilot
  • Instrument rating
  • Commercial pilot
  • ATP pilot
  • Multi-engine rating
  • Glass cockpit transitions
  • Aircraft specific transitions: Cirrus, Columbia, Cessna, Piper, Citation Mustang, Pilatus, TBM 700/850, Tailwheel

MENTOR PROGRAM

Planning to move up to a high-performance aircraft or light jet? JATO specializes in:

  • Citation Mustang
  • Pilatus PC12
  • TBM 700/850
  • Cirrus SR20/SR22/SR22 Turbo
  • Columbia 300/350/400
  • Cessna Piston
  • Piper Matrix

Insurance companies and the FAA require pilots to complete factory training or a type-rating program and to subsequently fly with a qualified mentor pilot. JATO Aviation’s Mentor Program helps clients through this process every step of the way.

JATO initially coordinates training with the type-rating facility. Pilots have the option of being paired with a mentor pilot either before or after the type-rating course. Insurance requirements are met while their training advances to an even deeper and safer level of understanding. The ultimate goal of the Mentor Program is not to simply satisfy insurance requirements, but to help ensure the aircraft is always flown to the highest level of safety.
