Go Glass Transition
The Go Glass Advanced Avionics Training Program™ helps aviators understand and master cockpit automation. Whether it is an autopilot/GPS navigation system, or panel-straddling electronic displays, glass in the cockpit can intimidate even the most seasoned pilot. Go Glass pilots learn to make the most of today’s advanced avionics.
Go Glass program modules include:
- Autopilot
- Global Positioning Satellite (GPS)
- Multi-Function Display (MFD)
- Electronic Flight Information Systems (EFIS)
- Airborne Weather Radar
- Datalink Weather
- Collision Avoidance (TCAS/TIS)
- Terrain Awareness (TAWS/GPWS)
Each training program is built from a library of training modules, which are specific to a certain operation or piece of avionics equipment, and are written to satisfy the FAA Industry Training Standards (FITS) Program requirements. An individual program will be tailored to the avionics and equipment installed in that pilot's airplane or pilots without an aircraft may choose to train in one of JATO’s own technically advanced aircraft.
JATO Aviation specializes in glass cockpit training using the popular Avidyne FlightMax Entegra, Garmin 430/530, and the Garmin G1000 and Perspective systems. If there’s a cabin-class piston aircraft or a very light jet in your future, JATO Aviation will conduct your training in aircraft that feature avionics packages similar to those you will be flying.
